Facts About ILS Services
Independent Living Skills means a full fledge training from our givers to inculcate living skills in the person. It includes communication skills, interactive skills, mobility, interpersonal skills, behavior issues, motor, and sensory skills. We assist in enhancing their self-care skills and make them independent and free.
Services We Offer
- Although the main focus of ILS is to train people with living skills we also do assist them in certain things and help them with meeting their goals.
- ILS services can be given at home or in the community setting. It depends upon the need and desire of the person who is getting the training.
- Here are the services that can be provided according to the need of the client:
- Assisting with the kitchen tasks and
- Assisting with depositing money through ATM or bank
- Make them learn how to ride a bus through practical demonstration
Our Independent Living Skills Trainers
- Independent Living Skills trainers work with the QP, client, and Case Manager to create the materials, methods, and settings used to provide ILS training to achieve the following outcomes. Our services include:
- Help them to perform their tasks independently and minimize the dependence on the caregiver
- Help them make the social interactions with the people other than the caregivers and maintain them by themselves
- Assist them in routine tasks, for example, making their schedules, and setting their routine according to the people who are of the same age but do not have any disabilities.
- Enhance their skills and train them to use the skill where it is supposed to be used
- Help them in the development of decision-making power related to their daily routine for example about their service providers, their room or home dรฉcor, their eating choices, etc.
